The report is devoted to A.P. Dovzhenko – a prominent figure in the culture of Ukraine: writer, director, screenwriter, critic – and his work in various arts.

The presentation highlights the main stages of Aleksander Dovzhenko's life and creative work both in literature and in cinematography. The author gives examples of the most famous creations of an outstanding artist, which every conscious citizen of Ukraine should know, and makes conclusions about the role of Alexander Petrovich in the development of the culture of the twentieth century.
